Shake My Hand (Introduction)

The title of my blog “The Fun Factory” is a tribute to a novelty company of the same name who often advertised their gags inside old comic books. But with a big competitor like the Johnson Smith Company shadowing their ads, the Factory eventually closed it’s doors for good.

Now, through the miracle of cyberspace, I am bringing back everything The Fun Factory stood for; cheap gags and fantastic memories. This blog is a collection of anything nostalgic from my youth. From snap chewing gum to rare LP’s. I’m sure many of us can remember ordering what appeared to be awesome pets like Sea Monkeys, only to be let down after discovering they were simply brine shrimp eggs instead of little aquatic people with crowns on their heads. Ah, but wasn’t it a splendid fantasy while it lasted? Well, that’s what TFF is all about, reviving those days of adolescent wonder.

Browse through all of my entries to see just what I’ve dug up through the years. Participate by adding your own memorabilia here. You may also add comments.

So now I present the re-opening of The Fun Factory doors. Have a joy-ful experience, bzzzzzzz!
