Digging SciFi
![]()
Recently I pulled out an LP titled “Theme From Star Wars“ by Wonderland Records. It contains scores from various sci-fi movies and TV shows, only with a 70’s flair! I thought it was quite cheesy when I used to play it as a kid. But now I realize, though cheesy, these songs are rare and worth preserving. I’ve uploaded only the most interesting tracks (compressed in a RAR file) that will give you mental images of Darth Vader wearing bell-bottom jeans and sporting an Afro. Groovie!
Track Listing :
-
Theme From Star Wars
-
Theme From The Six Million Dollar Man
-
Beyond The Outer Limits
-
Theme From Star Trek
-
Space Race*
-
Theme From Superman
*Grooviest track.

I’m amazed that somebody else owns this record! I actually have this record, and I have been planning to do a transfer of it myself, as I received a new turntable for Christmas. This used to be one of my favorites growing up. What a way to start a new blog. I look forward to visiting often.
By the way, after some research a while back, I discovered that this was actually performed by Jeff Wayne (War Of The Worlds musical) and his orchestra, which went by the name Jeff Wayne Space Shuttle, and also Wonderland Space Shuttle.
